Applying for the Composition Programme

Preparing your application

You can apply for the composition programme using our online application forms. There are two forms to complete: your main Application Form, and the Composition Questionnaire which includes some questions specific to this programme. Please submit both of these forms.

You will need to upload two examples of your own composition, as well as completing a short questionnaire of musical 'detective work'. A deposit is also required to secure your application.

Please read the following information carefully, and have these things ready before you fill out your application form:

Your Compositions

Please choose two examples of notated music you have written. We can accept PDF files or scanned images of handwritten music. We can also accept Sibelius files (but not files from any other notation software). If you have recordings of your compositions, please also feel free to email supporting audio files to info@ingeniumacademy.com.

Partial/incomplete compositions or works 'in progress', WILL be accepted, if you feel it is the best example of your music.

Musical Detective Work

Please download this PDF, which is the first page of a musical score. On the application form there will be a few short questions about the music - please answer them to the best of your ability.

We accept applications on a rolling basis so recommend that you apply as soon as possible to have the best chance of being awarded a place.
